Theresa Reineke wins 2009 NIH Director's New Innovator Award
Theresa Reineke was the receipient of the 2009 NIH Director's New Innovator Award.  This includes a $2.4 million, 5-year grant for "Illuminating the Mechanism of Polymer-Mediated Nucleic Acid Delivery".  This grant will help the Reineke Group understand the physical mechanisms involved in polymer-polynucleotide binding and nanoparticle formation.  In addition, this will help our group understand the cellular mechanisms involved in the delivery of our polymeric drug carriers in both cancer and heart cells.
